Sports Injuries

Due to the unpredictable nature of sports, unfortunately, injuries can occur. Whilst some of these injuries might not require surgery a certain percentage will to enable the patient to regain function of the affected body part and ultimately allow them to return to playing sports again.

Common sporting injuries involve damage to the ligaments which stabilise the joints, damage to the cartilage inside the joints or fractures (break in a bone). All of these injuries can affect patients in a variety of different ways but most of them will require specialist attention to enable the best recovery possible.

At Adelaide Hip and Knee Centre our specialists have extensive experience in managing sporting injuries in particular knee ligament and cartilage injuries (such as anterior cruciate ligament), hip fractures and injuries. Using the latest techniques we will help you recover from your injury quickly to enable you to return quickly to living the life you want to.
